ABOUT Valentino Marengo

Born in Torino (Italy) in 1968. In 1990 he graduated from Fine Arts School in Torino and in 2002 he got a Master in Product Design at the Domus Academy in Milan.

He has shown his works of art in Italy and in Greece and others countries. He has worked as product designer for the Italian design firm Pininfarina Extra for which he has designed, among other products, the concept of the Olympic torch for the winter Olympic games of Torino 2006. Some of his design projects have been awarded or been published in magazines in Greece and abroad.
In Greece he works both as visual artist and designer, he has collaborated as stage designer with the National theatre of Athens, the National theatre of Northern Greece, Amore (Notos) theatre and other theaters.
As graphic designer he has designed the new logotype for the Greek National Opera. He is a collaborator of the Museum Benaki for which he designs and produces objects for the art shops.
Recently he started a collaboration with the Italian furniture company Riva 1920 for which he has designed the urban bench Landmark. Some of these benches have been installed at the Lido di Jesolo (Venice, Italy).
At the present moment he his involved in the design of new products for Greek and foreign companies.
