ABOUT Sandro Santantonio

Sandro Santantonio is a designer born in Lecce in 1977. He studied at the Experimental Art School of his hometown and later moved to Milan where he graduated with honors from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. During his studies, he began to collaborate with famous designers and to exhibit his works in national and international exhibitions. In 2004 he opened his SSD studio Sandro Santantonio Design which deals with projects in the field of lighting, architecture and interior design, packaging and fashion design.Studio Santantonio has won numerous awards such as the Young & Design 2004 for the Flower armchair, the 2007 Young & Design won with the Trinity lamp that was mentioned in 2009 for the Compasso d'Oro award. For Axolight he designed the Muse collection of lamps, exhibited at the GUM Department of Mebelissima in Russia and the Melting Pot line. Sandro Santantonio has been teaching industrial design at the Brera Academy in Milan since 2009 and has been collaborating with ISAD of Milan, where he teaches product design.
