ABOUT Rainer Mutsch

Rainer Mutsch is a successful designer with a remarkable education. He studied Furniture Design at the Denmarks Design Skole in Copenhagen, Product Design at the University of Arts in Berlin and completed his degree in Industrial Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Subsequently Mutsch worked for many years in Berlin for the designer Werner Aisslinger, for whom he developed important projects for companies such as Cappellini, Zanotta and Mercedes Benz. In 2008 he started his own business, a design studio based in Vienna.
His work is based on research into new materials and production techniques in order to create innovative solutions that combine aesthetic elegance with functionality. Rainer Mutsch develops projects in the areas of furniture, product design and lighting. His creations have won numerous awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, The Good Design Award, The Green Good Design Award and have been nominated for the German Design Award and for the Brit Insurance Design Award. Many of his works are part of the collections of important museums and private individuals.
