Sora is a handmade, sculptural luminaire designed by UK-based duo Fung + Bedford. Using traditional Japanese origami techniques to create its unique, floating form and diffused luminous glow, Sora exudes an ethereal, lucid aura. The Sora pendant is an ideal fit for most dining or kitchen spaces – and also works well in a work setting or other professional environment.
An Led strip light is embedded inside the bottom of the piece, which diffuses a soft, warm glow across the lamp's structure, which is made from tyvek, a synthetic, paper-like material made from compressed fibres. Tyvek is used due to its waterproof and tear-proof characteristics, as well as it being 100% recyclable.
Materials: Tyvek paper and solid brass.
