Meet New Works
New Works was founded by Nikolaj Meier and Knut Bendik Humlevik.
Their desire was to create a design house where there is room for creative experimentation and design comes to life with care - a place for new works.
While Nikolaj deals with the numbers and day-to-day operations as CEO, Knut Bendik is responsible for the special look and feel as Creative Director. Together with a small, dedicated team, they started with a curated collection of highly aesthetic, yet affordable items. Through this goal they shape the ever-evolving story of New Works.
New Works presents a collection that combines the old with the new, design with art.
In collaboration with an international team of renowned designers, designs are created that pay homage to the strong Scandinavian history of craftsmanship and materiality, while challenging contemporary forms by displaying a charm that matches sculptural forms and natural materials.
