ABOUT Michele de Lucchi & Gerhard Reichert

Michele De Lucchi was born in Ferrara in 1951 and studied architecture in Florence. During the years of radical and experimental architecture, he was a prominent figure in establishing design movements such as Cavart, Alchimia and Memphis and designed lamps and interior design items for some of the best-known Italian and European companies. 
Gerhard Reichert was born in Ravensburg, Germany in 1962. He graduated in mechanical engineering. Then he continued his education and graduated in integral-design at the SADK Stuttgart. He worked for the Siemens Design Center. Then he developed together with the Fraunhofer Institute new modular-car-systems for SKODA. From 93-97 he was project manager at MH Design Engineering in Switzerland and Germany. In 97 Michele De Lucchi asked him to work with him at Milan and he worked as project manager until the 2004. In this time he founded his own studio.
Since 2004 he is Professor for Design at the university for applied science at Aachen.
Sinse 2007 he is Professor for Design at the university for applied science at Schwäbisch Gmünd.
