ABOUT Julian Appelius

Julian Appelius was born in 1973 in Munich and was raised in France and in Germany. After an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker and further studies of sculpture at the Academy of the Arts in Munich he studied Industrial Design at the University of the Arts Berlin.
Since founding Studio Julian Appelius in Berlin in 2003, he has designed products for manufacturers such as Ingo Maurer, pulpo, freistil by Rolf Benz, Koziol and Konstantin Slawinski as well as working on interior design projects and for exhibitions and installations for clients such as Montblanc, Rimowa, BMW, Bogner, Diesel, Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin, Jaguar, Kunsthalle Deutsche Bank, Tommy Hilfiger and many others.
He took part in divers exhibitions and was awarded with several design prizes.
