ABOUT Benjamin Hopf
Benjamin Hopf was born in 1971 in Hamburg, Germany. He studied Design at the Miami International University of Art & Design from 1990-1992. In 1992 he moved back to Germany where he studied Industrial Design at the Polytechnic University, Munich and finished with a MA in Design. In 1996 he worked for Siemens Design (now Design Affairs). In 1998 Benjamin Hopf co-founded the design studio Büro für Form together with Constantin Wortmann. Since 2007 he runs his own office Studio Benjamin Hopf with main focus on lighting, furniture, as well as interior and product design. The clients include Osram, Serien Lighting, Next, Elmar Flötotto, Habitat, Ycami, Kundalini and many others. Benjamin Hopf’s work has been rewarded with many international design awards. Parallel to his studio Benjamin Hopf established his own lighting-label “Formagenda” in April 2008. The collection is evolving continuously ever since.
